Query Explanation

The query mysql_up != 1 checks the mysql_up metric for each MySQL instance and fires when its value is anything other than 1 (i.e., the exporter reports the instance as down or unreachable). Consequently, the MySQLDown alert triggers whenever any MySQL job/instance is not reporting a healthy, up status.
