The alert fires when the metric elasticsearch_process_cpu_high for a given node ({{ $labels.node }}) in a cluster ({{ $labels.cluster }}) reports a value greater than 90 % CPU usage. In other words, any node where the Elasticsearch process is consuming more than 90 % of the CPU will trigger the alert.
